This was one of those pieces that wasn't planned. I started it, and as I worked on it, everything was so clear and I never really had any problems in the making of it. It was really fun to do, and I am happy with the outcome as well ^^ My main goal was to experiment with lightning and the athmosphere lightning can give, I didn't wanted to focus on details in the fur - these are the reason to why it's semi-detailed. x3
As I said I am really satisified with the outcome.. although, of course, I see flaws and things I could've done different every time I look at it. xD For example, the fur is a little scribbly in some places, and the pose doesn't really match the title - it looks more as if she's backing away or walking awat from the sun. But when I started it, I didn't had a clue about the title or meaning, I just wanted to experiment with lightning, and the title and stuff came to me the very moment when I added it. I just thought it fitted xP Not sure about the expression either. I didn't wanted her to have an anthro-ish expression, no smiling or such. But sometimes I think her eyes looks sad, sometimes determinded. Ah well. xD As for the lightning, I really doubt is 100% correct - I have a lot to learn about lightning, but I can't improve without studying and testing and experimenting can I? ;3
Kind, constructive criticism is welcome. xP
Photoshop Elements 3.0, wacom tablet. It didn't took very long to do, 3-4 hours or something like that. :3
A very nice piece... I admire your facility with both trad and digital media.
Love the lighting... maybe the only weak part of that is along her back. You might walk forward with a few rows of partially illuminated hairs to give more of a rounded shape instead of a flat one.
Ooo now this is really beautifull reminds me of some of those nature documentaries i awalys ignore and never watch i love how the light goes through the fur and and shines it up
...Or should I say, beartiful... *shot*
